MUSEUMS

No visit would be complete without exploring the complex past of Liverpool, so we’ll start with museums.

World museum

The oldest museum in Liverpool, opened in 1853. The museum hosts an aquarium, planetarium, interactive exhibitions and regular events.

International slavery museum

A very hard hitting, but poignant museum exploring the role Liverpool played in the international slave trade. It examines the local & global impact of this historically, and to modern day.

Western Approaches

A museum dedicated to the Battle of Britain - this is located in an underground bunker that was part of the 'Citadel' - a complex bunker from which the Battle of Britain was coordinated.

FOOD

Some of our staff highlights are listed below:

Italian Club Fish.I Liverpool institution and a must for all seafood lovers! Located on the bohemian Bold St and a few doors up from Italian Club (sister restaurant).

Lunya & Lunyalita.
Lunya is located on Hanover St, so right in the heart of the city! Lunyalita is in the Albert Dock so ideal after visiting the Tate or Liverpool museum. Both serve up exceptional Catalan inspired food, tapas and Lunya has a deli will plenty of goodies to take home too.

Bundobust.
Incredible Indian inspired menu and meat free. Great drinks list, loads of bottle ales & tonnes of space on the canteen style benches.

DRINK

For bars, you’re spoilt for choice! A couple well worth checking out are:

PINS
Part bowling alley, part pizzeria, part roof top bar - it does all three exceptionally well! Located on Duke St, this is great for daytime drinks or to get your evening started.

The Royal Institution

Incredible cocktails, amazing staff and the most Instagrammable decor!
The RI is a relative new comer to the Liverpool scene, but is fast becoming a local legend. Let us know ahead of time if you plan to visit as our guests can get 10% off (when using a RI keyring given to you by our team!).

AESTHER

Based in Chavasse Park in Liverpool ONE, this new cocktail concept bar is from the same team behind the famous Alchemist chain. Expect laidback decor, jazz bar vibes and a good selection of cocktails.

ACTIVITIES

We’re not all about drinks and food (alas), Liverpool is a great place for some activities too:

Awesome Walls:
A climbing hanger based within a converted church! Well worth the short drive just out of the centre (less than 10 min). This is great for families or groups of friends.

Wild Shore:
An inflatable obstacle course in the docklands, pedalos, kayaks and mini boat hire all ensue there is something for everyone. Again this is perfect for families or hen/stag groups looking for something more than the norm.

For those looking for some retail therapy, there's plenty! We have the MET quarter with boutique brands, Liverpool One full of high street names & then Bold St with tonnes of independent shops, bars and eateries.
